Under 13                                Squad Report AGM 2009

The season started well with a large squad supplemented by new discoveries from our tournaments. In the South West League, the U13 team are unbeaten this season with victories over

Ben Mynors-Wallis and David Garcia won the Avon Invitation Doubles and Lynnlette Aung and Ciara Lindsay were runners-up to an England pair. Ben and David also won the SW U13 Doubles on May 3rd.

Dorset got through to the finals of the Team Challenge in Hatfield in February and the team came home with bronze medals and were commended by Eric Brown, Chairman of the Schools and Youth Board. The team members were Lynnlette, Ciara, Anna Battersby, Charlotte Murray, John Spawton, Ben, David, Cameron Jones and Michael Higbee.

In addition to these players, the U13 league team consisted of James McMillan, Max Travers, Tom Donnelly, Emily McCurdy, Emma Smith, Hannah Turner, Abbie Haysom and Amy Tappin.

Lynlette has also been invited to attend England training days.

The parents of these youngsters have been particularly supportive of their children and very vocal! Margaret would like to wish good luck to those children who are moving up an age group.
