Under 17                                Squad Report AGM 2009

This year the squad was made up of 18 players and enjoyed a fairly successful year beating Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire & Gloucester, losing only to Somerset & Avon putting us 2nd in the South West League.

My thanks to Mark for coaching the players, the children for their commitment to the training, tournaments and matches, their parents for getting the children to the venues. The mothers who accompanied me & the team to away matches in the minibus.

In April the following team travelled to Nottingham for the ICT

The team enjoyed the experience and played well, with us finishing 30th out of 40th. My thanks to Margaret who also travelled with the team.

Each year I hand out the Meritorious Performance Award and this year it goes to 2 young men who have shown commitment to the county, through training & matches and their performance continued to improve throughout the season ending with good performance at Nottingham. The award goes to Matt B & Adam Mc.

Lastly I would like to wish good luck to the U17’s that leave the juniors for the seniors this coming season and for those that remain and join us from the U15’s I look forward to the year ahead.
